How rune progression works

Runes shape what your guild members can do. Discover new abilities, strengthen equipment and develop a party whose members complement one another, both at home and on expeditions.

Abilities and passive effects

Character runes provide abilities and passive effects. The Infused runes tab brings both together so you can see a member’s current setup. Higher character tiers unlock more slots, while each rune has its own requirements.

Bring new options back from the world

Quest rewards and dungeon loot can include new runes. Exploration can therefore change how you build the guild, opening up abilities and combinations that were unavailable before.

Build a party around complementary roles

Combine protection, healing and damage to help members support one another. Runes and attributes can be adjusted, with limits on those changes, so plan a party around the options you currently have rather than a fixed class label.

Keep equipment aligned with the job

Equipment runes customize compatible weapons, armor and tools. Match equipment to a member’s abilities and responsibilities, then use equipment priorities to express what they should wear. Check the actual loadout before sending them into danger.

Develop the guild’s magic

Guild-wide mana abilities develop through research and discovered mana runes. Pylons supply mana in player settlements, while research expands the guild’s capabilities. Resources brought back from exploration help support that progress.
